• Images for OCR: Photos you take or select for text recognition

2.2 Automatically Generated Information

• Translation results: Translated text, extracted vocabulary, expression notes
• Vocabulary data: Saved words, meanings, language pairs, and timestamps
• Quiz results: Accuracy and learning progress

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification information (name, address, phone number)
• Location data
• Contacts, calendars, or other device data
• Advertising IDs or tracking information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely for the following purposes:

• Providing translation services (text translation and image OCR)
• Creating and managing your vocabulary and quiz features
• Saving and applying your language preferences

The App uses external APIs for translation, OCR processing, and crash reporting.

5. Where Data Is Stored

5.1 Local Storage

All user data — translation results, vocabulary, and language settings — is stored in a local database (SQLite) on your device. This data is not accessible from outside the App.

5.2 External Servers

Data sent to the Groq API for translation and OCR is handled according to Groq's privacy policy. The App does not store any user data on external servers.

6. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, except in the following cases:

• When required by law or legal process
• With your explicit consent

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your data in the following ways:

• Individual words: Swipe to delete in the vocabulary screen
• All data: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data

8. Advertising & Analytics

The App does not display advertisements. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any other user behavior tracking tools. Firebase Crashlytics is used solely for crash reporting and does not track user behavior or collect personal information.

9. Security

We take the following measures to protect your data:

• All communication with external APIs uses HTTPS (TLS encryption)
• API keys are never embedded in the App — they are securely managed server-side
• Local data is protected by iOS Data Protection (device-level encryption)

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. If significant changes are made, we will notify you through the App or on our website. The revised policy takes effect upon publication.
